Her life is anything but mundane. No day of Marta Dyks, an internationally renowned model and social activist, is the same. She has lived in New York and Paris but has found her haven in the heart of Warsaw. During her travels, she has gained a fascination for diversity and an openness to other people. In her apartment in a tenement in Warsaw's Śródmieście district, she has created an oasis of calm where she regenerates physically and mentally, and to which she returns after daily encounters with people.

Living in the centre allows me to maintain the perfect balance between the extroverted and introverted sides of my nature. It satisfies both the need to be with people and to be alone. It gives me a sense of freedom.
Her choice of apartment was guided by her emotions. What mattered to her was the history of the place. Although she is not a traditionalist, she chooses interiors with a soul. She appreciates the craftsmanship of traditional techniques and considers vintage architecture worth preserving. Inside, the apartment has retained an old plaster wall and a wooden floor.
She collects experiences and memories. She admits to enjoying investing in memories, treating objects as their carriers. Just like books, which thanks to the imperfections they’ve picked up during use – grains of sand and wine stains – remind her of pleasant moments, holidays and travelling.
Things hold importance if they bring something to her life. The wooden puzzle helps to quiet the mind and focus attention on the here and now, and reminds Marta of a childhood game in which a simple egg was used to practice patience and perseverance.
The furnishings with which she surrounds herself must, above all, be functional, give comfort and satisfy the need to regenerate the body and mind. It is important for her to have a comfortable bed to get a good quality sleep and a functional sofa to accommodate all her loved ones. The kitchen sink mixer with a water filtration system is also a crucial aspect, as it makes it easier to cultivate a healthy lifestyle.
Marta emphasises how important daily habits are for health, beauty and well-being. She pays attention to a varied diet and the right amount of sleep. Hydration of the body and the quality of the water are just as important to her. The OMNIRES SWITCH kitchen sink mixer with a water filtration system ensures that she has access to healthy and tasty drinking water every day.
Balance for me is the sum of opposites. In all areas, the most important thing is balance, understood as the freedom to choose between different possibilities.
