SAWARU | Gosia Boy & Mat Kubaj, Nobu 2025

The SAWARU artistic project is a visual interpretation of the Japanese concept ma – the space in-between, where encounters, exchange, and intimacy arise. Supported by OMNIRES, the presentation of creative impressions by Gosia Boy and Mat Kubaj becomes a practice of dialogue: between the artists, between body and nature, and between cultures and ways of experiencing the world. This multilayered synergy engages our brand, showcasing original installations at the intersection of art, design, and functional aesthetics.

MEMORY OF MATTER

The SAWARU exhibition reflects on the place of humans in the world and their relationship with nature and their surroundings. Gosia Boy’s works evoke the traditional bond between humans and nature, envisioning spaces that are mindful, welcoming, and open to others. The central motif is the staghorn sumac – a plant that becomes a symbol of tenderness, corporeality, and bonds that create a sense of home. Through fabrics dyed with its fruits and embroidery that records memories, the artist shows a dialogue between humans, nature, and matter, creating a space of encounter where every touch and gesture leaves a trace of reciprocity.

THE GESTURE OF ETERNITY

Mat Kubaj’s paintings respond to Gosia Boy’s works with energy and an intuitive gesture, born in the moment while carrying the memory of organic shapes and rhythms of nature. The focal point of his expression is the Enso circle – a symbol of fullness, harmony between the moment and eternity, and the rhythm of life that connects the ephemeral with infinity. In his works, fabrics become a medium of transition, and each brushstroke records community and relations.

A passion for design, care for the environment and an appreciation of aesthetic harmony – these are the values that guide our daily work and define the OMNIRES brand philosophy. They are also what make our participation in the exhibition more than just a partnership – it becomes an active co-creation of a project where everyday objects intertwine with the contemporary art of Gosia Boy and Mat Kubaj. From this synergy emerged an artistic narrative that unites the beauty of form with functionality. At its heart are everyday objects reinterpreted through an artistic lens, revealing new emotions and contexts. Through our presence in this unique project, we invite guests to experience design as a mindful and aesthetic journey, where art subtly permeates daily life.

This exhibition is a manifesto of connection – between art and nature, photography and painting, the individual and the collective. It invites conversation, looking through the window of art, and experiencing what unites us.

My project grows from tradition, yet addresses contemporary practices of dialogue, forming a tender interplay between people, nature, and material.
